Hochschule Hof is a science-based business centre. Our main focus is for our successful graduates to have the opportunity to work in sustainably and internationally controlled companies. The students in our cosmopolitan Green Tech University are looked after in an excellent way. The work of the “Institute for Advanced Studies” at Hof University is targeted on practically orientated courses, has an international touch and puts a focus on resource efficiency. The applied research ensures the actualisation of knowledge for teaching and develops solutions for the benefit of the economy.

Hochschule Hof
In 1994, the wish of a whole region for a University became true – Hof University was founded. In October 1994, the first courses, with approx. 90 students and 2 professors, initially started in the rooms of the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Legal Affairs before moving into a new building in 1998. In the same year 14 students celebrated their graduation. Since then, the University has experienced a rapid development. Today there are approx. 3,200 students at Hof University.
In 2005, some graduates and professors launched the initiative for an Alumni Association. Since then, the number of members has grown steadily. Today more than 460 members make use of the benefits of the Alumni Association. A variety of events advise about the careers of graduates, key aspects of researches at Hof University and career possibilities. Your further business and career development is the main focus in cooperation with the department “Career Service” and the “Institute for Further Education” at Hof University. The highlight of the cultural life within the Association is without doubt the reunion festival that takes place bi-annually. We are already all looking forward to May 2014 when uncountable alumni graduates will visit their Alma Mater again.
